Sponge pictures
Come one, we all have them. They are those things that grow on the rock that no one really talks about after they are [acronym:4acc97a797="Identify"]ID[/acronym:4acc97a797]'d. They come in many shapes, sizes and colors. I thought it would be fun to show them off. Go search your tank, look behind and under the rocks and lets see what you have.
Here are a few from my tank to get us started. Some yellow ball sponges and a blue sponge that is spreading all over the underneath of one of my rocks.

Ahh, I bet you do. If you have live rock, you have sponges. They are one of the most common hitchhikers. Even if they are only low light q-tip sponges or white sponges under your rocks. Some sponges aren't obvious so you have to get a flashlight and look under overhangs, inside crevices, etc. I promise, there are some.

I just picked up some beautiful aquacultured Tampa live rock with at least 3 species of sponges on each rock. It's by far the nicest rock I've ever come across... I'll try to get some photos up next time I have a chance.
