Our ponds

Hi... new here so just thought I would share one of my passions... ponding!

7000 (imperial) gallons
Nexus 3000 filter
Sequence 4200 gph low head external pump
Airtech 120 air pump
-A 4 inch bottom drain gravity feds to the filter, the pump returns the water to the falls, the air pump supplies the bottom drain diffuser and the moving bed media in the filter.
- 15 koi live in here

1500 (imperial) gallons 2 tier - waterfall to stream which flows to the main pond
veggie filtration (obvious LOL)
1800 gph mag drive pump
-this water garden is in our front yard, only a handful of goldfish live in there for insect control.... mainly it's all about the plants!

My 800 gallon Wakin pond - I love Wakin goldfish!
500 gph mag drive pump
veggie filtered
85% of the plants are bare rooted .... this pond is my 'messy watergarden' LOL

This big hole will be a complete pond by next spring.... 80 ft L x 30 ft W x 5 ft D .... Yeah nutz huh????

WHOA !!!!!!!!!
VERY nice!!
those ponds are FREAKEN HUGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bigger than an average swimming pool.

I've always wondered - do u need to weekly/monthly water changes??
if so - is your water bill expensive?
