Welcome to the Pond.

Ahh, spring. Gardening, and ponding. Two of my favorite things. My pond is all set up, and my garden is coming back nicely after a harsh winter. The fish are in the pond.

Don’t you just love this time of year. All I need now are pond plants, and a few more plants for my garden.

Now, pics!

My pond:

My pond fish:

My Shade Garden :on one side of the pond…
I put in a nice hosta planter this year. I also got some bleeding hear. I plan to try some ferns too.

My sun garden:
The tree you see is a curly willow which will eventually turn this side into a shade garden too. I have mostly wildflowers like coneflower and black eyes susan. I also have tond of columbine some sedum.

Enjoy!

Jason, your gardens and pond look wonderful! You have put a lot of work into them. I especially like the hosta planter. Is that a lilac bush beside the shade garden? I love lilacs. Our bush only had two flowers on it since April was so cold here.

Yep, its a lilac bush. Last year it was the ugliest thing, we were thinking about taking it out, i am really glad we didnt. Last year it only got like 10 leaves on the whole plant, and one cluster of flowers. Big difference this year.

There is a trellis behind the planter which i plan on putting some type of annual climber on. I think that will be interesting.

I'm glad you guys like it.
