Troy H has fishy dreams
I AM a competitor of Del's in some respects, not plants though. I ordered plants from him once last year, and yes, they made a few mistakes on the order, namely a couple of plants were missing that they said were in stock when I placed the order.

On the other hand, the man drove about 5 hours with replacement plants in hand and knocked on my door the same day the incomplete order arrived. All to satisfy a first time customer with a relatively small order.

From my dealings with Del and from reading his and other posts, I've come to the conclusion that he can be cranky old man, rude and even not above taking a shot at competitors, but I could the same about any business I've dealt with.

The bottom line is, how many businesses do you know that would do what Del did for me? Or any of us for that matter?

I don't find it hard to believe that you had a problem with Del, what I do find hard to believe is that you tried to resolve it, or that he wouldn't bend over backwards to make it right.

I suggest you call the man and work it out instead of coming on here with generic complaints and an obvious attitude.

Thank you for posting that Troy. Regardless of how good or bad a company is, simply showing up here just to complain is not very pleasant for anyone. Qwerty, good bye is what I have to say. If you show up at a site, complain without any details, then complain when someone asks for details, then privately or otherwise insult the site to which you are posting, you're asking for trouble. Not a single person here, which includes the company you dealt with, had a problem with you. You came to start a fight. I do believe that I can speak for most of the people here, we are very tolerant and very forgiving people here. We all have a lot of differences and we've all gone through a lot with each other. People all over this site have stepped on others toes, but we always move on. When you showed up here you showed no tolerance, no patience, nothing but anger. Believe it or not, we could still get past all that, but that was up to you. Your sole purpose here was to cause trouble. I don't know what else to say... I believe Forrest Gump would have something to say though

Kudos to Del for staying professional in the face of an unhappy, irate 'customer'. Like any business I've heard good things and bad things about orders people have received. I for one have had nothing but good results in the 5-7 times I've ordered from this vendor/sponsor. Consistent results like this lead me to a logical conclusion - you're running a good business, but there will always be a minority of dissatisfied customers.
Since qwerty was unwilling to share anything specific, I'd take anything he says with a very small grain of salt.

I for one will continue to place orders through you, and hope that this summer I'll be able to tour your facility since I will be traveling by it at least once.
