ive been having batches of guppie fry for a few months and i basically take them out of main tank and put them in there own tank so the tank in question as quite alot of fry various ages and sizes,
today while taking a peek at the fry i noticed one which is from a earlier batch about 8 weeks ago it's size approx 1" too 1 1/2" inch in length it is actually v shaped its swimming about ok
just wondering should i just throw it into main tank as a snack cos i dont want this deformed one to breed and make possibly 1000's of deformed fry in the future.
is this a good idea or is it cruel
or should i just let it live its life in a separate tank away from its own species
the shape of it is deffo v iwas concerned about it's inner organs they must be squashed up

sounds like its inbred. nothing wrong with putting it back in the tank as a snack imo... i never removed any of my platy fry from my main, i just let nature take its course.

well i dont know about it being inbred but that does make perfect sense
i had a group of females n males about 9 in total
i rescued from the dreaded flush off a guy
since i've had them they been doing nothing but dropping fry every 4 weeks
its the only deformed one out of about 70
