angels pairing up what would you do?
Well, I have raised up 6 angels and at least two have paired up. I think there might be another pair, but it's more like a happy trio and then there is one outsider.
I was thinking of removing the pair (that I am pretty sure is a pair since they stay to themselves and defend the left 1/3 of a 90 gallon tank.) Or moving the other 4, or just taking the other 4 back to the LFS for credit. I do love the way the angels look, but I am getting tired of them tearing up the stem plants and fighting with each other all the time. Also I want to eventually have discus in this tank and will probably rehome the pair to my 46 gal planted tank by themselves. The pic below shows the 6 angels. The two on the left are the pair, the three in the middle are the happy trio and the one on the right is the outsider and is getting increasingly picked on by one of the trio but still stands his/her ground and tries to swim all over the tank stirring up trouble. Any thoughts/suggestions? What would you do? |

I'd either remove the other pair to another tank or take them to your LFS. A breeding pair of angels in a 90 gallon would be cool, but if you have a spare 20 tall or larger you could move this pair into it and breed them there.
But, I like breeding fish, so any option I would pick would include breeding. And BTW, that is a great looking tank! |
