I am breeding apisto cichlids and I don't want to deal with brine shrimp... Any easier suggestions?
You could also feed egg yolk (after hard boiling) if you don't feel like keeping a live colony. Be careful not to add too much because it can quickly make a mess in the tank. I've found it easiest to use a turkey baster or syringe and squirt egg yolk mixed with tank water near the freeswimmers.
Do I squirt it right on them or do I like try to get them to eat it? Or do they just breathe it in?
You could just squirt it near them and they should eat it.
Will it be in clumps?
Not if it's mixed with water. You'd only need a tiny amount of yolk to mix with water. A lot of water and only a little yolk.
