If Bolivian ram fry are similar sized as gbr fry you'll likely need to feed them something much smaller than bbs for the first week or two.

Can't recommend you use almond leaves or similar for breeding any stronger, it will help keep the eggs protected from fungus and encourage the process along. If you get lucky and they use the leaves for laying the eggs on you will get a far better success rate. You will get slight tannins in the water, but it's better for the fish.

I have Hicari first bites that I feed my Guppy fry, would that work?

This is a story that I will tell, now that I am on the topic of Hicari First Bites. A few nights ago my dog Mr. Puddles got a taste for First Bites, when he licked my fingers right after I fed the Guppy fry. And then Yesterday, before I was awake he somehow snagged the fish food and then he proceeded to demolish the bag it was in, after that he ate all of it.(the bag was very new and full too!)First Bites must be a caffeine for dogs, because for the next 4 hours he was in a crazed delirious state, all he did was climb on furniture and run around the living room looking for more fish food. The moral of this completely true story is, never let your dog eat your fish's food.

What do you mean, I don't quite understand.

Some types of dried leaves when placed in an aquarium act as water condition for some cichlids when they start to break down, mainly south American Rams, Discus, etc - breeders have been using them for years as they contain a lot of favourable qualities like anti bacteria agents to protect against fungus and pH lowering.

You can use oak leaves in a similar manner.

If you can't find an oak tree with dried leaves you could also use alder cones. Pretty much anything with tannic or humic acid works, peat is popular.

I got home today, and found a Bolivian guarding a pile of orangish eggs on the gravel. The other fish are not really harassing the 50 or so eggs. Yay
