baby platy

Found one baby platy swimming around today came as quite a surprise as thought we only had males!
Can anyone tell me how many I should be expecting and how long it will take to complete the birth? As neither of the platys look pregnant to me.

platy in te second pic is definitely pregnant! I'd be expecting up to 10 but they may eat them. I've had 4 generations if platies

she could, mine rarely do now! A lot Of LFS will take them!

when first born they can be almost clear and hide EVERYWHERE sometimes it takes me weeks to find them all! To sex platies btw just look at their pelvic fin.

Males pelvic fin : a small narrow fin

Females pelvic fin: basically a triangle

yeah and if you become over stocked always donate them to lfs

Oh will be giving them to lfs. Funny thing is we was out the other day looking for female guppies but never saw any we liked, good think we didnt now.
