Hi!

I am using sea salt to make the solution. The instructions online say 1 tablespoon per bottle (slightly less than 1 liter of water). I read that they need specific gravity of 1.018.

i have a hydrometer, I have added about 3 tablespoon of sea salt, and it still only 1.016, am i doing something wrong? =/

Assuming the specific gravity as mentioned, which is temp related, you need closer to two Tblsps. Adding a little baking soda will sometimes help to keep the pH up and buffered. Keep a light shining on the hatcher. You need to keep the cysts moving so they don't stick together, and keep the water oxygenated. Don't use an airstone and just enough air to keep them moving gently. At 80F, most should be hatched in 24 hours or less.
