Betta Breeding Help

Ok so I have a 10gal with about 4-5inches of water and my male Betta made a huge bubble nest. Everything is good but my female(in a cup) won't get vertical bars. Should I wait until she get vertical bars first before releasing her?

put some of the male betta's water into the cup and do that over a period of time until she gets bars. i've heard the water can stimulate the female into breeding

Their are holes in the cup so they share the same water

Just let her free with the male for a while and if she shows interest in the nest then leave her. If she sticks her nose in it and wiggles around (distroying it) take her out but put her in a glass jar or something so they can see eachother lol
