Just wondering if their is a type of fish that is really easy to breed.

Any of the common live bearers are extremely easy to breed. As far as egg layers go, if you have the room convict cichlids are a great way to get your feet wet.

I agree with Rich, the live bearers seem to breed non stop, even when you do not want them to.

And of the livebearer's I find guppies the easiest. Mollies and platies are easy too but IMO guppies can be unstoppable. LOL.

my vote is guppies...but please dont try to crossbreed livebearers.... (ie. diff. types of mollies/ playties, or guppy's and endlers...)

I don't really consider any of the common live bearers breeding unless you're trying to develop a new strain. Although it can be exciting and fun to watch and raise the fry, this will just happen. No thought or effort whatsoever.

A great many egg layers can be bred quite easily. The only thing you need to consider is what resources and time you are willing to devote.
