Breeding and Sexing Bluegill

I was wanting a little more information about a standard Bluegill. He, or she, was wild caught and I have bad "it" for about a year since it was half dollar sized. Any information on breeding would be amazing. Such as, but not limited to: breeding age, sexing, breeding techniques, etc.. Thanks!

I'm not sure if it will breed in captivity if you caught it from the wild.

Males are Brighter in color. Females will be almost drab in color. Not sure if you can get them to breed...The males are nest builders and I have seen nests several feet around. You'll need a pretty large tank!
