Hi everyone lately I have been on a breeding kick and have bred some easy fish which were Angels, Kribs, and Livebearers they were easy and now I need some advice on Bettas. From what I have read I went and got a 5g and 1g tank. So is this the correct steps?
1. Buy a healthy male and female of atleast 18 months old.
2. Get the male set up in the 5g for a few hours.
3. Add the female with a baracade but so they can see eachother.
4. Release the female and let them do there thing.
5. Take female out and treat her torn fins in a 1g tank for 3 days.
6. Leave the male to care for the fry for awhile then remove him.
7. Move male to 1g and female to 42g and let heal for 3 weeks before breeding again.
Does this all sound correct?
TIA

Yea that's a good start but leave the male in with the fry for at least 4 days are an til they are able to go to the surface on there own. But everthing else sound s about right and a pretty good start.
