Breeding Clown Loaches

Light a candle and play some Barry White IMO. In all honesty I've never bred clown loaches but I would imagine that like with most fish you need to make sure you have great water quality then it boils down to compatibility . I'm sure someone else more knowledgable will chime in but setting the mood can't hurt.
 
Everything I've ever read and discussed with breeders that it's very rare in the home aquarium. They don't even reach sexual maturity until the 7in mark and considering their slow growers that's gonna take some time in itself. If your looking to breed clown's are a tough nut to crack. Simply, you won't breed them successfully in an aquarium. When they spawn they scatter thousands of tiny eggs that actually get larger when they reach the water. Any eggs that aren't eaten will be drawn into the filter/s.
