Breeding fancy goldfish

How exactly do you tell the difference Btwn male and female ? Idk how to tell with fish lol I want to breed em but don't know the first thing a out breeding fish lol any and all helpful advice is welcome

I know that males will develop little white spots on their gills during breeding time.
