Just getting a large group of tetras with an even number of females and males they should pair off. Keeping the heat at a safe temperature will make it easier to breed them but the best temperature would be about 28 c in a tropical aquarium. Sometimes if they are a new school of fish they will be more anxious to spawn and timid and may start to get more aggressive when they are pregnant you should try separating them from the school and see if this will convince them to spawn.

Separate a fat female and a male off. Condition them but don't allow them to see each other for a week to two weeks. Set up a 10 gallon aquarium. Breeding takes place in very soft acidic water and subdued lighting.the eggs are laid over fine leaved plants and hatch in 24 hours. The eggs are light sensitive so really you want to paint the sides and back of the aquarium black. The water temperature need to be 25c and water of ph 6 or lower. Substrate could be waterlogged peat and you need plants like java moss. Good luck !
