All:

I set up a 10 gallon tank for angel fish fry. The fry were doing well and most were surviving for over a week. During the work day time, a white infection of something occurred, causing the entire tank floor to look like freshly fallen snow. This engulfed the fry, thus no survivors.

Water conditions as follows:
pH: 7.0
Ammonia: 0.0
Nitrite: 0.0
Nitrate: 20
Phosphate: 0.0

I have never seen such an infection as this. Has anyone else? Freshly fallen snow is very accurate. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Rupret.

Was it white and fuzzy? If so, most likely it was fungus eating leftover food. Pics of it may help better discern what it is/was.
