Greetings, all. After keeping a reverse trio of these recently ID'd Corys, for 6 years, with nary an egg, I am pleased and proud to report the first captive spawning of this specie. Have hatched about 18 wigglers with a few more viable eggs, left to go. A lovely little fish. - Frank

C054

Congratulations! This is exciting news.
TYVM. :)
Is this the first every recorded spawning of this C054?
According to those in the know, yes it is.
If so, is there a specific authority that you have to report it to?
Not an authority, per se. There are professional organizations and renowned experts in the field who maintain this data, both scientific and anecdotal. It is they who have informed me of the achieving the first documented spawn. That includes a proper ID, getting eggs and having them hatch out - as well as documenting the occurrence with photos. - Frank
