Can a mouth rooder hold fertilised eggs from two dads?

I have fry from two females. One I am certain of the father but the other (I am sure of at least one father) has half normal fry and half the fry were tiny and now that they are growing look like a different fish. Maybe mbuna? Or do you think that because she didn't have a huge mouth and it was her first batch she might have just had some premature?
