These fish have been through breeding once and produced fry in their current tank, however since the fry were moved (at about 0.75 inches) to another tank the male has been beating up the female. I have moved her into my 75 gallon until she recovers.
Just basically would like to know what I did wrong? Were the fry too small to be removed? They were free swimming and no longer really being watched by the adults.
I do live by a fish store which accepts fish. I can always trade the adults in and get some more juvis to make a new pair from, but would like to know if I did something wrong or if the male just had too much to drink. I think if I had left he female in there any longer she would have been dead within a day.
