Could be, usually when my Sterbai Corys start to mate i see a male and female swimming around together all other the tank, especially the male, who will be circling around the usually bigger female. Adding some cold water to the tank or reducing the temperature slightly can encourage it along, depending on species you will usually see the female swimming up and down the glass of the tank or plants depositing eggs followed by the male, at this point it's not unusual for other males to come and try to fertilise the eggs also.
