I'm pretty sure my male dalmation sailfin and my female cremesicle lyretail mollies had babies. There are 5 fry that are about 1/2" long. They have the normal markings of a dalmation except: where there is white on the male dalmation adult, there is orange on the dalmation fry. I was out of town, and my wife noticed a handful of little 1/4" things swimming around. When I got back on Sunday, I noticed they'd about doubled and had the above colors/markings.
Interesting that they cross-bred!
I won't have room for them though, as i've already got in my 20G tank:
4 neon tetras
3 zebra danios
1 F cremesicle lyretail molly
1 M silver lyretail molly
1 M dalmation sailfin molly
1 M Gold Twin-bar platy
4 adult ghost shrimp
Think a local fish store (Living Sea in Chicago) will take 3-4 of them for store credit when they grow a bit more?
TIA
