Delamarrr hears surf in the shell
Question Electric blue laying eggs, but male not interested. Help please

Just a bit of help please. My female electric blue has just had her second lot of eggs. This time i managed to watch her have them. The only problem is, the male didnt have anything to do with the process, besides eat the eggs once. The female has now got them all in her mouth, but as far as i could tell, they have not been fertilized. Her first lot of eggs was a failure also on about the fourth day when she ate them all.

Isnt the male supposed to fertilize the eggs? Is this normal behavior? Am i doing something wrong?

I have one male and two females if that helps.

Any help please.

Thanks

He may not have the ability to fertilize. Get another male and 1 or 2 more females (so the guys don't get too competitive).
