Fry!!!
I've been so busy making sure my new Rams were settling in that I almost didn't notice that somebody else had babies. The problem is I have no idea who the proud parents are.
I was taking pics of the Rams last night and noticed these 3 liitle things swimming at the top of the tank near the surface. I was trying to figure out what and how these things got in my tank, since I have no live plants that they could have hitched a ride on. Anyway, these 3 fry are up at the top swimming away in the current created by my Penguin 350. I have no idea what or if they have been eating, but they have been swimming well. I woke up this morning and discovered a 4th one in there. So now I have these 4 microscopic fish swimming at the top of the tank. I'm going to have to let nature take its course as I am not prepared to care for them. The Rams just went on on Saturday, so it can't be them. Plus they're both females as far as I can tell. The other fish I had in the tank were 3 Giant Danios (returned to the LFS yesterday) and 8 Neon Tetras. It has to be one of them.I'm inclined to think they may be the Danios' kids since one of them seemed to have a belly bulge. I can't see anything that resembles egg. Then again, it would very easy to niss something like that. Luckily for the fry, the Neons and Rams hang in the middle to lower portions of the tank. They only come up to the top during feeding time and so far the fry haven't been eaten yet.

By the sound of it they aren't fry I had these one time to they are were way to small to be fry, fry usaully don't swim near the top of the tank, and they did not swim like a fish I have no clue what they were but I know they weren't fry. Hopefully they are fry but like I said it sound like what I had.
Hope This Helps And Good Luck |
