I was watching videos from a guppy breeder who recommends that ratio, just to cut down on the stress on the females.

I must admit I prefer that ratio for live bearers as well.

I thought 5:2 would be okay. Learning!

We had another brood last night. The almost-month-old brood is going to the LFS today.

Ugh, it's too early to calculate that ratio. So that would be 3:1 = 6:2 to compare. And 2:1 = 4:2.

Idk, I just found 3:1 seemed to work better.

Also for some reason I find males of the same colour will really fight.

Right. The blue guy is at the LFS. The green guy is still with us. Still five females.

$1 each store credit for the fry at almost four weeks old. This guy knows how to get someone to keep coming back!
