My pregnant half-black female guppy is almost ready to drop her fry. I set up a 3 gallon tank for the babies and I'm wondering what to put in it. I have a heater and small in-tank sponge filter. Do I need anything else for them? A hiding spot maybe or some plants? Or will they be OK in a plain tank? I'm hoping to keep at least a few of them alive. Thanks! :)

For Guppy fry, plants will really help them out since they are conditioned by nature to seek shelter from the adults and other fish in the plantlife. You can use plastic plants to accomplish this but if you use live bunching plants, there will be the additional benefit of small infusoria type foods on them for the fry to eat.

Hope this helps
