Hi,
I just learned some new stuff with my Dwarfs Gourami.
They can killed your plants to create a nest...
Can they do that even if there is no female in the tank? I have 5 gourami. I never ask myself if i had female in there, i will look closer tonigh.
What is the signs to know if one of them is creating a nest?

Bubbles on the surface is the big one. If you see they are going after the plants and trying to rip them from the ground to carry to the surface you'll know!!ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1398783824.976816.jpg

I think they build it for her.. She will not start to breed unless the nest is right at least that's how it was with my pair.

Ok,
Well he will be sad when he notice there is no one to mate with...
I have 5 males but no female...
(65 gallons tank)

So no if you don't have any females in the tank I don't believe they'll try to build nests.

No but i keep finding all my plants at the top of the tank (grrr) haha

I find that when buying new fake plants they float so I silicone some natural color gravel pieces to them. Maybe that might help otherwise use clear fishing wire to wrap a live plant to a rock or something
