Guppy&platty???

Y male guppy keeps chasing my female platty around and it keeps trying to mate is this even possible???

No it's not possible. My guppy does that too. Your guppy needs a guppy, Molly or endler to mate with.

No because a guppy is in Poecilia family and platy is in Xiphophorus family. These families cannot crossbreed. Male guppies will try to breed with anything they can but that doesn't mean there will be any results.

I agree with butterfly they sill show mating behaviour but nothing will happen.

actually it is possible i was looking at fish facts on youtube and their was a video about some people who had managed to crossbreed... but in this case your fish won't crossbreed because unless you in ject the female
