guppy birthing period

How long do guppies give birth for. I saw 2 fry last sunday. Which disappeared after half a day. Then onw fry on Tuesday and one day which are now in a separate box. Im assuming tgese arent the same fry from sunday. So how long guppies give birth for

Most of the time it takes 6-8 hours, but it can take up to a couple of days.

What thebluespirit said is spot on. I've seen it take an hour all the way up to three days. They seem to be able to halt the birth until conditions are more favorable. Up to a point. This is my own observation and not based on research.
They can also store sperm for up to six months, giving birth every thirty days in the meantime.
