Help! Unexpected & Unidentified!

Hi,

I just brought home a fish that is expecting.
I found out after my dad pointed out one of the female's gravid spot, or what have you.
I got three, the lfs employee told me it was a male and 2 females, one of which is quite young. I've also forgotten the name of what they are .
The name was something like "Xy____ Einsis(?)" I don't know that is a really rough estimate.

Here is a pic

What is this fish?
Will this be a livebearer?
Should I remove any thing from my 10 gal?:
5 zebra danios
1 senegal bichir (3 in.)
3 peppered corys
Any other info?

ANY help at all is appreciated.

Xiphorphorus helleri i think. swordtail? im sure it'd be okay, but the bichir should go somewhere else sometime in the future. the male should have a spike type thing on its tail "sword"

Xiphophorus maculatus platy?

I think that it might be a Variagated Platy (Xiphophorus variatus). They look very similar (accprding to the aquarium ownwers manual)

Hope I could help

How does Xenotoca eiseni sound? Congrats, you have a very desireable livebearing goodied that appears close to birth...I would suggest removing the bichir if you wish the fry to survive (and eventually, the adults, as it will only take an inch or two more growth before the bichir starts eyeing them).

Yes, its a livebearer. You certainly should remove the fry to a breeder box if you want them to live. As was said above, that birchir is going to see these fish as a nice snack one day, and the danios and cories might be a nice snack also when he gets full sized. I hope you don't plan on having him in a 10g long.

I'm planning on removing the bichir.

Should I buy a 2.5/5g for just the mother ?

Should I remove any other fish??

The danios wouldn't make it in my tank w/ oscar and green terror. I don't think.
But i'll do whatever it takes for the fry to survive.

I also covered my HOB filter intake with panty hose material.

Any other advice?

BTW - It is Eisini - Thank you!!

Also, is it possible the mother is holding the fry if she is too stressed?

I bought a 2.5gal and a stick-on thermo.

I was planning on moving the mother into it... but,
I thought I had an extra heater, but it turns out it was broken, I'll have to pick one up tomorrow if possible.

I moved all the fish except the tiniest danio, and the 3 corys, into the community tank. Should I remove the two males from the 10 gal as well?
