Parents bred in the following water parameters:
pH 6.6
kH 3.0
gH 80
Ammonia .25
Nitrate 10
Nitrite 0
They spawned on a flat rock in the center of my 72 gallon planted tank. I harvested the eggs and hatched them in a mason jar in my tank. Added hydrogen peroxide to combat fungus. About 35 survived. I have been feeding them a combination of BBS, infusoria and Hikari first bites. The are housed in a 3.5 gallon eclipse aquarium .
The white "sock" in the pictures is a double layer of nylon stocking with Purigen in between the layers and them tied onto the end of the filter intake.
The idea was to decrease the force of the intake and provide some extra filtration. The plant is an Amazon sword that had been growing from a "mother" plant in my large tank. Will try to get some closer pictures of the fry, but they are kind of shy.
