How to sex cories?

Depends on type
The difference in most Cories is that the female is larger than the males. In cases where there is little size difference, females take on a "breeding color" when they are ready to spawn. In the case of the Peppered Cory , the female's abdomen will turn a pinkish hue when she is ready.
My previous breeding experiences with Cory cats entailed putting approx. 3 or 4 larger fish in with 4-6 smaller fish in a tank by themselves. Once they were fed a good preparitory diet of proteins, I rapidly reduced the temp in the tank and within a day or 2, I had a group spawning.

Yeah with mine I just look from above and the females tend to be wider.
