I Really Think It Is A Nest :)

On Monday I informed every one about the suspected nest that was in my pufferfish tank. It has now been a week and the nest has come along way. I have noticed that the male and female are together much more now and the females stomach is looking much more rounded so i think she is becoming full of eggs. Any one have any idea of how long it will be until there are eggs and if you actually think that they are going to spawn ?

The images posted are the nest and the females stomach. Sorry about the quality.

Looks like a nest to me, too. No idea on pre-egg periods in puffers, I am afraid...I have bred many fish, but not those.

Try the http://www.thepufferforum.org/ someone is bound to know there, but puffers are not known as a digging genus, however they do bury themselves in the sand to wait for prey. I've never heard of them actually cleaning out a pit though.
