I got a second gold mystery snail in my tank yesterday, and when I looked at them about ten minutes ago, one had three super long strings on them and the other had a couple of really short ones. Naturally, my first assumption was babies. I don't know what sex they are, because I have no idea how to sex them, but is it possible that they're breeding? I read that they breed when the water is warm and there's an abundance of food, and they have both.

Are the strings eggs, or should I be concerned?

This is the best picture I could take. I don't have a functioning camera besides my phone.

Could it be fish poo?

I know my old common plecos left poop strings longer than their bodies floating around the tank. Perhaps your snails are doing what they do best and scavenging?
