I have a silver male
dalmation female
2 black females
The male was alwase energetic and very aggressive toward females, waning to breed that is.
Now he sits at the bottom in a corner of one of my decores. I saw him shivering a couple of times?
Anyone have any advice?

What temp is your tank? I had the same problem with some of mine right before i noticed they had ick. As far as not mating with the females, that's normal i think. I have a black male that doesn't bother mating with any of my females.

about 72f
I did my normal pwc today and it was a few houres after that

water perfect purameters
tested before pwc today
nitrate was a bit high but, did about 50% wc after

now hez moin around but, not aggressivly az usual

I had the same thing happen to my green sailfin male, anyway, id turn the temp up tlo 80 n see wat happends.

What were the exact readings??

ammonia .25
nitrite 0
nitrate about 100
pH alwas aroung 76
now he iz swimmin/floating virticly lookin up at the top of the tank

saw him going in a u shap like wn they get stuck to the filter,
then he laid in the plants and not moving

that acts as a laxative, it could if he is constipated. However i had a goldfish that was doing the same thing. You are supposed to feed them peas (without the shell) and it should help a lot.
