Title says it. I'm trying to culture some that my neighbor gave me but I can't remember if I need to leave it in light at all. At the moment it's spent the last 3 days in a draw, was advised to keep the lid off.

Should I move it to next to my tank where it'll receive some light?

Thanks I shall then. I couldn't remember if he said not to or not because my neighbor kept his on the bench in the garage and would've received little light.
