She looks pretty squared off, but you need to be careful with birthing boxes because if you put the female in too early she might abort the babies from stress. If she doesn't start pushing out babies within three hours, take her out.

+1 I would also agree stress can kill her (I never knew). Just watch out. Also watch out for signs when she is about to give birth (swimming up and down, hiding, etc.)

oh my what is happening she has a little like red stick thing comming from her baby shooter what is going on?

To tell that she's giving birth, she'll start shuddering (those are the fishy contractions) when that happens, then put her into the box. When she is shuddering she will most likely rest on something.

She's probly pooping dude, my preggo guppies have red poop too, I know it's weird

Remember the three hour rule! If she hasn't popped by then take her out!

Mine stayed low her next to the heater for days. A few hours before birth she started breathing heavy

Look is she ready to pop

You need to give her some time, keep an eye on her but don't try to force her to pop. Just relax and slow down a little. Has she popped yet anyway?

I usually tell when the mums ribs are pretty much showing through the skin and they literally look like they are gonna burst. I personally think she needs another day or two. But if she is a big guppy, with a small batch, she may go in a few hours. Just keep an eye on her. Mine stretch out then relax not long before they pop (half hour or so before)

Also the black spot (babies) will drop right to the edge of the hole in most cases.

A good indicator to put her in the box is when the first one or two babies come out, that way it reduces stress, and she can have minimum time in the cramped box ^^ (you can scoop the first few babies into the net and put them in the box as well, just be careful not to squish them)
