It's 25 Boys, 28 Girls, A Small City!

She dropped, my lovely neon swordtail, or better yet, exploded.

Here are the counts I have done since I found them this morning:
61, 50,48,57,53,62,58 and the latest at 56. That is without counting 11 dead. Is there record for the most babies from a sword! That's 55 ave, doesn't that make a football team?!?!?

I think I need a vet with a pair of really small scissors.

The babies are the little clear spots, not the red ones.

Now I know how you egg layer breeders feel

Congratulations! Platies are known, as all livebearer's, to have many many fry.

Thanks, but they are swords. I don't raise platties any more because they have way too many babies. I just never had a swordtail have more than 30 before.

Oops. I can't read sometimes. Swords have babies the same was as other livebearer's, tons of them. Guppies are my nemisis right now.

Mom is a really pretty fish--and that is a lot of babies for a swordtail. Congratulations!
