I noticed yesterday that my JDs had eggs so i moved them into thier own 30gal tank with thier eggs, the eggs are starting to hatch now!! they are wiggly and stuff, but mama hasnt started moving them yet, is this normal? This is the first time that we have had eggs so i dont really know alot about breeding fish. They have two different areas that they have made into nests but they just arent moving them at all. any advice is appreciated since i have no clue what to do lol

I would
I've to know what happened with your babies if your still around? Did any survive?

yes we had about 100 survive, we had a heater issue and some died... we still and we have about 50 left and she laid more eggs yesterday

Congrats to you!!! What did you do with the 50 you have??? This is my issue... I have baby JD's which are only a few days old. But I don't know what to do with them if they all survive. I have no place for 50 I can imagine how crowded that would be... Especially as they got older. I will buy a bigger tank... They are in a 55 gal, may buy 100 gal tank but that will only last them so long. What did you do?

they are still fairly small, we have them in a 29 gallon and its not crowded at all... we sold most of them on craigslist, but i think the reat will have to go to a pet store
