I have Endlers. I gave up "saving the babies" from the main tank for a few different reasons. Reguardless.
Today I noted a new batch of tiny fry. They were safely chilling in the java moss and other live plants in the main aquarium.
At multiple different times I saw different adult females wander towards the mass of newest fry. Dad is uninterested in new baby fry since the "new" mom is distracting him.
A larger juvenile would dart in front of the female and just hang out right in front of her. If she started swimming forward they would dart off causing the female to follow the juvenile. If I had just seen this once I would think it was just luck for the tiny fry. I now have witnessed this multiple time.
Is this normal behavior in guppy/ endler/ livebearers???

wow this is incredible, i have never heard of this, and almost all my fry get eaten if not removed promptly.
