K so i have a preggo swordtail and she looks there. So if i set up a five gallon fake plabted tank will that work instead of a breeder box or net. I have had fish die and i think this is a better alternitive (sp?)

Yes It would be a better idea, but this can stress the female and she could delay her babies.

I want to keep as many babies as i can so te only stress i c is moving from tank to tank

You could let her drop in the community tank then catch the fry and put them in the nursery tank. That is what I do

ok so i have a female swordtail giving birth as i type she has all ready eaten 4 fry any way to make her stop i have turned off the lights in hope that she cant see the fry to eat them and they can get away plz help soon!!!!

Well look on your tank later on. My platy has been popping baby since last night :/ so far I've seen her give birth to 3 babies last night and 2 this morning.

Why not just fill the tank with plants?
