Male Attacking Female

Hello,

We have a tank with 2 males and 4 females (molly and swordtail) and one male is repeatedly nipping at the bottom of the belly of one of our females but not any of the others.

Any ideas?

We currently put him in our shrimp breeding tank but thats obviously not a long term solution.

Please help!

Is it gentle? Mine will do that to get some attention I suspect from the females.

Happens. Better to do than that than stress the girl out and cause ick or any other disease from entering into the tank
