Yes they will. They are just different color morphs of the same fish. You will probably end up with some fry looking like one parent or the other and some that could look completely different depending on the genetic makeup of the parents.

As an aside, my iPod doesn't think "morph" is a word and I almost posted this with the first sentence reading "color morons" instead. Silly autocorrect.

I agree with Alyxx. Yes, they do mix. All those molly colors are the same species. As for exactly what the fry will look like, that is hard to determine without knowing a genetic history of every fish, but in general, you get some that look like each parent, or a bit of a mix. It depends.

So which colors would be an odd mix? By the way.. will a platy mate with a molly? Would the fry survive? My male platy has successfull knocked up my female and is now looking to my mollies for some attention...

I've found from my own limited experience with platy fry is that almost all my babies look like their mums. I have black babies from 'big mama' and yellow babies from 'little mama'. I've bought some blue Mickey Mouse platy females to see if they provide more diversity in the babies. (I do have one yellow baby who looks like no-one else in the tank though. He has a fully black tail and black lips with a yellow body). He's my favourite.
