I am very excited to say that my Dalmatian Lyretail Molly is currently having her second batch of fry right now!

I'll update with more pictures and news on the fry soon.

I'm a newbie when it comes to babies so any and all advice is appreciated!

They should start to move within about an hour as they start to absorb the last of their egg sacks. and free swimming within maybe 2-3 hours by the looks of it the tails have not separated from the egg yet so that is why I am saying so long.

So 6 have survived the night (and day) and are swimming happily. Is there anything special I should feed them or do to take good care of them?

If you feed flake food crush up some of that (as fine as you can get it) and then what you want to do is get a tooth pick yes a tooth pick and tip the very tip in the water not too much just the very tip (make sure to dab o paper towel so there is not a full drop of water on the pick). You just want it to damp. Then stick the pick in the crushed food and feed to area where the fry are being held.
