As I type this my dalmatian balloon molly is giving birth. So far of the four fry, three are alive. The first was not. I am new to breeding but mother and fry are safe in a breeding box. My question is in regard to the stages between each fry emerging. There seems to be a lot of clear/white material coming out of her. At first I thought it might simply be feces. But as more and more came out I began to wonder. Also, twice what seemed like eggs (translucent spheres) also came out of her and settled on the bottom of the box. As far as I know, this is her first delivery. Can someone tell me what the white substance is? Is it feces? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
