hello I have a question about my platy. recently I discovered that one of our fish a platy was pregnant. I also learned that she was about 2 weeks pregnant so after a week of waiting I decided to move her into a breeder net. my question to you is that too soon to move her is she going to abort the baby's ???:fish2:

It's a possibility but only if she gets really stressed. She looks close to dropping though.

Yeah, thats a possibility. If you want to put her in a breeding net, keep an eye on her and take her out after a day or 2 whether there are fry or not. She needs to swim around to get the process going, so leaving her in the net too long isn't good. But, you probably won't hurt anything to try putting her in there.
She looks pretty big, but I cannot really tell how close she is to dropping her fry. Honestly, she looks a bit bloated to me. But, its kind of hard to tell.

Sounds good. Honestly, they often get pretty huge before dropping fry, so it may be a days in the future. Its always a bit hard to tell though, especially on their first drop. They usually get more boxy looking. Their profile turns more \__/ than (_). But, its still hard to tell. I have had some females of various livebearers who refused to drop fry in the net.
