Seem like he's not ready yet. Just keep them separate and try again after a week. How big is his nest?

If he is being agressive separate them! Feed them high quality food to fatten them up. Maybe she isn't gravid?

Just feed them bloodworm and recondition them another 2 week. Mine been like this for 4 week til he was ready and allow the female near the nest. Just keep trying , I've never had a success breeding betta only other fish.

Have they been embracing and are there eggs in the nest? When they are done, the male will start chasing the female away again and you need to get her out.

I saw the fry hanged from the nest...sooooo small but the nest is so small now can i do anything??

Wooooow the fry are free swimmers now.. Wow they are so small ,the guppy fry are giant to those tiny bettas.i am feeding them live brine shrimp i hatched for the guppy fry tank..sorry i cant take a photo..i will when i can ..what about the food i must give to them

At this stage, the baby brine may actually be too large for them. Infusoria then microworms are the recommended first foods for betta fry.

The infusoria are the green algae from a outdoor tank???

If your fry are too small to eat BBS you can feed then a hardboiled egg. Boil and egg, take out the yolk and add about 3 ounces of tank water. Crush the egg in the water till it's dissolved in the water. Now use an eye dropper and add tiny amounts to feed the babies. One egg yolk should be enough for a week but you should throw it out after the third day and start a new one so you're not adding decomposition waste to your fry tank.

And this is one from my betta fries ....wooooow
