My convicts ciclids?

Well i have a 29 gallon tank with just convict cichlids and i have a male and a female, they,ve mated before two or three times but then they have killed the babies, well they finally didnt kill a batch of them and its been about 5 months and they are beginning to gain in size about 11 of them made it. My first real ? is im considering putting them in a 55 or 75 gallon tank now should i take out the female mother and maybe any other females because i dont want them to keep spawing, do i have to seperate them or is there a way for them to be stopped from spawing.

good luck with that.

many people breed convicts as feeder fish, as they are easier than guppies..

Convicts are known for their easy breeding, if you want to stop the breeding remove on sex of the convicts entirely.

sry to butt in, speaking of convicts i have two pairs in a 40 gallon tank... each pair have taken one end of the tanks and are protecting their wrigglers.

i never thought convicts can breed this fast... they parents are only an inch - inch and a half long... anyways, all the fry are swimming about...

should i remove them, risk of parents eating them, or will one pair eat the other pairs fry...

also, since this is a breeder tank, the fry are at the far end of the tank. when i put fry food in, i am not sure if they get enough... i havent started giving them baby brine shrimp yet... still using fry food.
