I am having trouble sexing my new guppy. Looks like it has a gravid spot, yet it also looks like it has gonopodia. Any thought?

Don't think so. Look at that bottom fin ; it is pointed. That fin on a female is much more like a fan.
Maybe he has to poop?

To make this easy, Gonopodium trumps gravid spot. With the G spot, it could be coloration or other internal organs you are able to see depending on variety but the Gonopodium is unmistakable. ;) It's a male for sure. (y)
In your fish's case, the black spot I see looks more like coloration than anything else.

Hope this helps. (y)
